Salt Lake City, UT — March 10, 2026 — Catalyst Opportunity Funds (Catalyst), a private equity firm focused on affordable and workforce housing, announced today the recent delivery of Greenside, a 65-unit multifamily development serving households earning below 80% AMI in Salt Lake City’s historic Granary District. Completed in late February, Greenside marks a significant milestone as the first fully operational residential building on the Silos block —a mixed-use, mixed-income masterplan that aims to transform one of the city’s most historically overlooked neighborhoods.

In recent weeks, residents have started moving into Greenside, bringing to life the vision Catalyst, Blaser Ventures, and Lowe Property Group (LPG) have been building towards since their first investment in the Granary District in 2019. A ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for early summer 2026.

“Affordable housing statistics are easy to cite, but the real measure of success is a family finding a home they can actually afford in a neighborhood they’re proud to live in. Greenside delivers that —in a location and at a price point that Salt Lake City’s working families deserve,” said Jeremy Keele, Managing Partner at Catalyst.

Greenside is part of The Silos, a $270M masterplan designed to revitalize the Granary District —a historically underinvested industrial and railroad corridor on the periphery of downtown Salt Lake City. While Greenside is among the smaller buildings on the block, it plays an essential role in the Silos ecosystem, which is designed to create a vibrant, mixed-income neighborhood with an income spectrum spanning 0–120% AMI, all on the same block.

“This is what the Silos vision has always been about —not just building housing, but building a neighborhood where people across the income spectrum can live side-by-side. Salt Lake City’s missing middle has been overlooked for too long and Greenside was purpose-built to change that. It’s the first piece of the puzzle to come to life and a preview of what this block —and this neighborhood— can become,” said Kristian Peterson, Managing Partner at Catalyst.

Greenside takes its name from its proximity to the soon-to-be-created Silos Park —a privately managed park with public access that will serve as a democratized gathering space for residents and the broader community. The park will also play an important role in building climate resilience: due to a lack of tree canopy, the Granary District currently runs 6.3 degrees hotter than the average Salt Lake City block. Silos Park is designed to help reverse this urban heat island effect.

The completion of Greenside reflects the broader momentum Catalyst and its partners have built in the Granary District over the past seven years. Since 2019, Catalyst, Blaser Ventures, and LPG have become the largest landowners and investors in the neighborhood. Once the full Silos masterplan is complete, Catalyst’s Granary portfolio will have contributed to the development of nearly 900 housing units and 100,000 square feet of commercial space available to local businesses. For a neighborhood that was overlooked for decades, the pace of change is accelerating fast.
